The Crow's Nest is a unique recording studio located in the Shenandoah Valley, 75 miles west of Washington, D.C. Previously operating as Wampus Sound Studio, it now spies the indie landscape through a new name and glass.

Recent projects include collaborations with Jon Astley (producer for Tori Amos, Pete Townshend, George Harrison), Jordan Zevon ("Warm Rain" from Hurry Home Early: the Songs of Warren Zevon), and Gaurav Mazumdar (sitarist for Ravi Shankar, Philip Glass). The Nest produced After Hours: a Tribute to the Music of Lou Reed, If I Were a Richman: a Tribute to the Music of Jonathan Richman, Hurry Home Early, and records by Alice Despard, Casey Abrams, Johnny J Blair, and Arms of Kismet.

The Nest is home to sonorous gear from the pristine to the low-fi. Guitars, loops, or multitracked harmonies, it's all about getting your own distinctive sound.
